Meethi Seviyan Recipe – Eid Special Sweet Vermicelli Dessert

Ingredients

- 1 cup broken vermicelli (tooti seviyan)  

- 2 tbsp desi ghee (clarified butter) 

- 1 tbsp mixed dry fruits (almonds, cashews, raisins)  

- 1 tsp cardamom powder (elaichi powder) 

- ½ cup sugar (cheeni)  

- 1 cup warm milk or water (for a rich texture)  

- ½ tsp rose water (gulab jal) for aroma  

- A few strands of saffron (kesar) soaked in 1 tbsp warm milk  


How to Make Meethi Seviyan

1. Roast the Dry Fruits & Vermicelli

   - Heat ghee in a pan and fry the chopped dry fruits until golden. Remove and set aside.  

   - In the same pan, add vermicelli and roast on a low flame until golden brown.  

2. Cook the Seviyan

   - Pour warm milk or water into the pan and let the vermicelli cook until soft.  

   - Add sugar, cardamom powder, and the soaked saffron milk, stirring continuously until well combined.  

3. Add Aroma & Serve 

   - Mix in rose water for a floral fragrance.  

   - Stir in the fried dry fruits and garnish with sliced almonds and pistachios.  

4. Enjoy this Eid Dessert!

   - Serve warm and relish this Eid special sweet dish with family and friends.  

Tips for the Best Meethi Seviyan
