Ingredients for Thick Hot Chocolate

  • Milk – 1 ½ cups
  • Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp
  • Cornstarch – 1 tsp
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • D45 Dark Chocolate – 100 gm
  • Whipped Cream – for serving

Ingredients for Instant Hot Chocolate

  • Milk – 2 cups
  • Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp + for garnish
  • Sugar – 3 tbsp
  • Cinnamon – 1 inch stick
  • Chocolate Sauce – for serving

How to Make Thick Hot Chocolate

  1. Heat 1½ cups of milk in a pan until just warm.
  2. Mix 2 tbsp cocoa powder and 1 tsp cornstarch with warm milk to form a paste.
  3. Add 2 tbsp sugar to the milk and stir well.
  4. Add the cocoa paste into the milk and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  5. Chop 100 gm of dark chocolate and let the milk cool slightly after boiling.
  6. Add chocolate pieces to warm milk and stir until melted.
  7. Pour into a glass, top with whipped cream and garnish with cocoa powder.

How to Make Instant Hot Chocolate

  1. Boil 2 cups of milk with 1 inch of cinnamon stick.
  2. Add 3 tbsp sugar and stir for a few seconds.
  3. Add 2 tbsp cocoa powder directly and mix until smooth.
  4. Turn off heat once boiled and serve immediately.
  5. Serving Options: Drizzle chocolate syrup in the glass or sprinkle cocoa powder on top using a tea strainer.
